Insurtech Descartes erhält 18,5 Mio. Dollar für Expansionspläne

Descartes Underwriting hat im Rahmen einer neuen Finanzierungsrunde (Series A Funding) neues Kapital über 18,5 Mio. US-Dollar eingesammelt. Das Insurtech entwickelt neue parametriche Versicherungsangebote und Datenmodelle. Mit dem frischen Kapital will das Start-up seine Expansion in die USA und nach Asien vorantreiben.

So plant das Unternehmen mit Hauptsitz in Paris die Eröffnung neuer Büros in New York und Singapur. Das Insurtech ist bereits in verschiedenen Ländern Europas, Latein- und Nordamerikas sowie in Asien tätig. Seit seinem Markteintritt vor 18 Monaten arbeitet Descartes weltweit mit fast 100 Unternehmen zusammen.
