Geneva Association Secretary General to Step Down in May 2014

10.12.2013 – fitzpatrickThe Geneva Association announced today that its Secretary General, John H. Fitzpatrick, has informed the Board of The Geneva Association that he will not stand for reelection at its next General Assembly in May 2014. Mr. Fitzpatrick was elected to a two-year term as Secretary General at the 39th Annual General Assembly in Washington, DC in June 2012.

Commenting on his decision to not stand for reelection Fitzpatrick said, “It has been a pleasure and an honor to lead The Geneva Association during this important period of time. My mission was to increase the visibility and influence of The Geneva Association and I feel we have accomplished this goal. However, given the increasing agenda of The Geneva Association, I believe the Association would benefit from a new leadership to advance the goals of its membership. I want to give the Board as much opportunity as is possible to start the search for a new Secretary General and arrange an orderly transition for the Membership.”
